Biohof Jochwand

Are all the products always available?

Fresh meat is only available directly after slaughter. Pre-order by phone or email, ideally in mixed packages of five or ten kilos. We also offer individual pieces.

How are the products packaged?

We try to keep packaging as minimal as possible and only use extra packaging for products that require special packing. We preferably rely on eco-friendly solutions and renewables for all our packaging.

How is the meat packaged?

We offer meat in open, vacuum-packed or kitchen-ready portions.

How long will ten kilos of meat stretch?

This should amount to three months on average, for a four-person household that eats meat once a week.

How can I pay in the Genussladen online shop?

You can make an advance payment.

How is the “Bio” (“organic”) in Biohof monitored?

Inspections of the Bio criteria and regulations take place at least once a year by so-called Bio boards of control – the BIOS Biokontrollservice Österreich (verlinken: http://www.bios-kontrolle.at/cms.php/). There are further unannounced, irregular random checks. Biohof Jochwand is also a “Bio Austria” member. (verlinken: )

What shipping options are there?

Anyone from Bad Goisern and the surrounding region can pick up all our Biohof products in the village centre at the following times: Monday from 8 to 11 o’clock

Shipping by mail
Products not requiring special transportation are delivered by Austrian Mail.

Chilled transport
Our reusable boxes ensure chilled meat transportation from the farm to the front door.

About the chilled transport

Customers outside the Salzkammergut receive their products via chilled transport thanks to Austrian Mail’s “Next Day Fresh” service. High-quality reusable cool boxes keep the vacuum-packed products at the right temperature in every season. The cold chain is not interrupted at any time, even in midsummer heat.

Delivery

Meat orders are delivered by Austrian Mail within one working day throughout Austria. We’ll notify you in advance via email. If you’re not at home, the delivery will be left in front of your door.

Shipping costs

Chilled shipping costs are € 10 per cool box. Orders exceeding € 200 are free of shipping costs. Return shipping of the box is already included. Billing of meat and shipping costs via your credit card occurs on the day of shipping. As meat packages are processed by hand, the weight can deviate slightly. As such we only bill the actual shipping weight, and the price can slightly vary.

Lieferung

Die Fleischbestellung wird binnen eines Werktages in ganz Österreich durch die Post zugestellt. Wir sagen Ihnen vorab rechtzeitig per E-Mail Bescheid. Falls Sie nicht zuhause sind, wird die Lieferung vor Ihrer Haustüre abgestellt.

Versandkosten

Die Kühlversandkosten betragen € 10,- pro Kühlbox. Bestellungen über € 200,- sind versandkostenfrei. Der Rückversand der Box ist bereits inklusive. Abrechnung von Fleisch und Versandkosten erfolgen über Ihre hinterlegte Kreditkarte am Versandtag. Da die Fleischpakete von Hand verarbeitet werden, kann das angegebene Gewicht geringfügig abweichen. Entsprechend verrechnen wir nur nach tatsächlichem Versandgewicht, weshalb der Preis etwas variieren kann.

Freshness guarantee

“Next Day Fresh” cool boxes were developed specifically for food transport, and have proven themselves reliable even in record-breaking summer heat. You can either return the cool box, thermal pack and partition packaging directly to your delivery person, or bring everything to the next post office. The package also contains return shipment labels and two seals to close the box. No addition costs arise for the return shipment.
However, if you’d like to keep the cool box and thermal packs, the following costs are billed:
Small cool box € 20
Large cool box € 80
Thermal pack € 18 each
